A real human mandible, decorated in the uk by @manikovdesigns (Instagram) materials used are, pig tusks, human mandible, dog teeth, natural fibre cord, synthetic sinew, cassowary feathers. The pig tusks and cassowary feathers came from Papua New Guinea.
The piece was inspired by headhunting tribes with the theory that by taking a warriors mandible they cannot call for revenge in the afterlife.
All of the cordage was hand twisted taking many hours.
